FloodWatch

Emergency management professionals are charged with the task of protecting the public from natural disasters and assisting them during such occurrences. Flooding is the most costly and deadly form of natural disaster. USEngineering Solutions has developed and patented the FloodWatch® software application to enable emergency managers to proactively monitor, assess, and respond to flood related disasters and the associated hazards in real-time.

FloodWatch collects and processes real-time data at regular intervals from weather and hydrological sources, meters and gauges, and other sensing devices. Data comparisons are then performed with internal databases to alert, when appropriate, critical personnel via any electronic medium (cell phones, pagers, email, fax, etc.) when geographical areas are experiencing a dangerous or critical flooding condition. FloodWatch can also be utilized as a hands-on training and scenario tool for emergency preparedness, evacuation, and security drills with the system’s archiving and event simulation capabilities.
